I made this piece because I have no words to express how troubling it is to see how corrupt our nation has become. And in my power, I can at least contribute my art to the change I wish to see in the world. We are a nation divided, let us come together and stand united as one.
If people just stopped making everything about race vs race, specially when tension among police is at its highest after Dallas ... that's a novel idea the protesters haven't really tried. And if they are really worried about the mortality rates in their community, then why ignore the primary cause of the murders and instead only focus all their outrage on just those who commit around two percent of the deaths?
It looks as if the organizers are exploiting the tension, pushing for more protests (some of them very violent), hoping for the police to make martyrs of a few innocent protesters.
Everyone just needs to back off, mourn their losses, collect their thoughts and not let the heat of emotions to cloud all judgment and reason. Am I going to be branded a racist by everyone else for asking for a "ceasefire" to avoid more injuries and even potential deaths?
